Fund Holding

I. Holding security for fees and expenses on behalf of Arbitrators/Mediators/Adjudicators

• Quarterly statement of accounts shall be sent to the Arbitrator/Mediator and the parties.
• HKIAC's fee for holding security is HK$4,000 per party per annum, payable when the security for fees and expenses is sent to HKIAC.

II. Holding security for the amount in dispute or security for costs as directed by the Arbitrator/Mediator/Adjudicator

• Unless otherwise decided by the HKIAC, HKIAC's fee for acting as stakeholder is HK$5,000 per party per annum, payable when the security for the amount in dispute is sent to HKIAC.
• The first and then quarterly statement of accounts shall be sent to the Arbitrator/Mediator/Adjudicator and the parties. Bank advice slips may be provided on request.
• Unless otherwise agreed by the parties, the security amount will be placed on one month fixed deposit or such other period(s) as may be directed by the Arbitrator/Mediator/Adjudicator.
• Any interest generated shall be for the benefit of the parties and released as directed by the Arbitrator/Mediator/Adjudicator.
