HKIAC Case Digest Now Available
HKIAC is pleased to announce the launch of HKIAC Case Digest, a searchable database of anonymised and summarised procedural decisions taken by HKIAC under various procedural rules.
HKIAC Case Digest offers users insight into HKIAC’s procedural decision-making, including the analyses of HKIAC’s Standing Committees—the Proceedings Committee and the Appointments Committee—of different procedural issues.
The database is searchable in three user-friendly ways: by (i) applicable rules; (ii) subject-matter; and (iii) keyword search.
Complimentary access to a case abstract is available to all. Those who subscribe will gain access to an abstract, the relevant parts of the arbitration clause(s), the relevant background to the procedural issue, and HKIAC’s analysis and decision. Current subscription costs are HK$1,000 (approx. US$130) for a monthly (30-day) subscription and HK$10,000 (approx. US$1,300) for an annual (365-day) subscription.
HKIAC Case Digest will be updated on a regular basis and subscribers will be notified when updates have been made.
For more information, please contact your HKIAC Case Manager or email email@example.com for details on how to subscribe.
Sarah Grimmer, HKIAC Secretary-General, says “We are pleased to launch this initiative in response to demands for increased transparency. HKIAC has built up an important body of procedural decision-making. Making this information available will help guide users.”
HKIAC Case Digest is the second of HKIAC’s new offerings in 2021. In October, HKIAC launched HKIAC Case Connect, a secure online case management platform developed for the convenience of parties and tribunals, and offered free-of-charge in HKIAC cases through 2022. For more information, contact your HKIAC Case Manager or email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
