HKIAC Small Claims and 'Documents Only' Procedures

The HKIAC Small Claims Procedures have been designed to provide a cost-effective way of resolving disputes over relatively small sums. They were initially introduced to deal with low value shipping disputes, for example, small claims for outstanding charter hire in cases where there are no complex issues, and witnesses are not expected to give oral evidence. The procedure is however equally suitable for use in non-marine disputes involving small claims.
