LIDW recently launched its 2023 conference, due to take place from Monday 15 to Friday 19 May, with registration open now. The conference will capture the central issues which matter most to disputes professionals, both those who work in private practice and in-house, around the globe.
LIDW23 will explore how disputes professionals are adapting to a changing world through its series of keynote lectures, panel discussions and networking opportunities. The opening day of LIDW will be marked with an evening reception at the Royal Courts of Justice in aid of the National Pro Bono Centre. The programme also features an International Arbitration Day, a core conference, the GAR Gala Dinner and Young and Young at Heart featuring Law Rocks.

LIDW’s reputation as a leading international disputes week has been cemented with the announcement of the first of two keynote speakers. The Rt Hon. Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury, former President of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, will address delegates on Tuesday 16th May during the Main Conference Day at the prestigious 8 Northumberland Avenue in Westminster, London.

The upcoming Africa Construction Law (ACL) Conference 2023 scheduled for Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th June 2023. The conference will hold in-person in Lagos, Nigeria and will see a confluence of construction law professionals experienced in African projects interrogate trends in construction law and infrastructure across English-speaking, Francophone and Lusophone African jurisdictions. It builds on the success of previous editions which attracted a high level of interest, globally. Delegates at the conference represented a cross-section including contractors, employers, developers, banks and finance institutions, government institutions, law firms, chambers and expert consultancies. Previous editions were organised in collaboration with leading law firms, Chambers, expert consultancies, arbitral institutions both on the continent and internationally.

The 7th annual Asia-Pacific Commercial Mediation Competition (APCMC) is co-hosted by the Australian Disputes Centre and the International Chamber of Commerce. The competition is being held online from 26 - 28 August 2023.
What is the APCMC? The APCMC provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to develop their negotiation skills in a mock cross-border commercial mediation setting that reflects today’s increasingly complex international marketplace. The Competition attracts high-ranking students from across the Asia-Pacific and garners support from international ADR professionals, Bar Associations, law firms, businesses, and the diplomatic community. APCMC 2023 The competition will be held online using Zoom Professional from 26-28 August 2023. The cultural appeal and convenience of the online format add another compelling reason for students and volunteers around the world to take part in APCMC 2023.

Istanbul Arbitration Week is an international arbitration event hosted by the Energy Disputes Arbitration Center (EDAC) and consists of a series of events related to international investment, trade, and arbitration. This year, ISTAW2023 will be held between 2-6 October 2023.
ISTAW 2023’s panels will follow a dynamic format and foster an open discussion forum regarding the future of international arbitration.
